WE ALL ARE FAULTY
Hello everyone, it’s Gabi on the microphone and today, I have something to say as usual. I remember two days ago, I was reading my bible. As I read, I prayed along. The scripture I happen to be reading that morning was psalm 7. When I read the first two verses, o boy, come and see prayer against my enemy. The first two verses was trying to talk about how God should save me from my enemies and how in God I will take refuge. You should see the way I was praying against my enemies, it was like I was in a battle field. Filled with joy and happiness, I rushed to read the third, fourth and fifth verses and I got the shocker of my life, these verses were trying to say something like how God should allow our enemies tear us apart and trample on us and lay our honor on the dust if ever we have injustice in our hands or have done evil to people at peace with us. I was angry, what was David trying to say here? I could not pray again and the Holy Spirit was like “Come on, pray now”. I stopped praying, how will I by myself open my mouth to curse myself? How many times have I done evil to people? My hands are filled with injustice. I suddenly remembered how fast it was for me to pray against my enemies and now I couldn’t pray against myself. This doesn’t look like love to me.
From that book, I learnt that I am not worthy to ask for anyone to be punished if I am not perfect. Does it mean that I can also be an enemy someone is praying against? How fast do we slander others forgetting that we aren’t also worthy. I had to stop that prayer, I wasn’t worthy to pray it. Friends, let not be quick to kill others if we are also worthy to be killed. We all are faulty one way or the other so we have no right to pray against anyone, we have no right to judge anyone and we have no right to slander anyone. I think that was what God was trying to show me that morning. Before you quickly judge others, calm down and look at yourself. Don’t you think you are also worthy of judgment? We are all faulty, there is no perfect one among us, lets us learn to bless others rather than curse, let us learn to see the faults in ourselves rather than in others.
Good morning friends.
And yes, remember to pray and bless your enemies so that you will also be blessed. That is what love does.
