THE GOOD WINE

Everyone serves the good wine first

Hello everyone, it is Gabi on the microphone and I have something short to say. So you met Sister Linda, a beautiful, average height lady. The beauty was the first thing that pushed you to her and then you started to discover that she is God loving, prays in tongue and goes to church. She is smart, has eloquence of speech and you suddenly come to the conclusion that yes, she is the one. You immediately decide that you must tie the knot, sister Linda is just the perfect sister for you. Two months after meeting her, two months is even too much sef. One month after meeting her, you and Sister Linda started dating. You were happy, full of joy and thought you have gotten it all in life. One month later, you started seeing a dimension of Sister Linda that you have never seen before and then you start asking yourself “Is this not that good sister/brother I met some months back?” Yes, it is the same Sister/Brother you met some months back, that same good sister. Then what happened to them? Why did they change? I know why, I will tell you why, I think I know why. Going back to the bible, John 2 verse 10. After the headwaiter had tasted the water now turned wine, he said something “Everyone serve/present the good wine first and after you have drunk freely, then the bad wine”. Everyone has that bad side, no one will ever come presenting the bad side, they wait until you have tasted enough of the good side, they wait until you have been enticed by the good side and when they know they have you in that drunken state, they slowly begin to present you with the bad side. Everyone has that bad wine but will always present the good one first. It is not sister Linda’s fault or brother Seun’s fault that they start to present the bad wine, it is your fault that you couldn’t wait to taste the bad wine before getting yourself entangled in a web of entanglement (I know that doesn’t make sense, does it?) because even you present the good wine first. This is not the permanent full stop we shall continue some other time which is not tomorrow
